Shifts, Triggers, etc.
Some applications require attention to inter-channel
delay or phase shift. Differences between channels result from component
variation due to tolerances or shift with time and temperature in
analog filters. Digital filters can perform with no inter-channel
delay error even with different cutoff frequencies. See the System
730.
Triggers and clocks generated externally synchronize
data with those external events. A shaft with varying angular velocity
may require measurement of torque or displacement relative to position.
System 495 accepts internal or external
clock timing and up to 8 logically combined triggers. Sampling rate
and memory associated with each is programmable.
